Sugared Cherries

Things you need:

  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Marshino Cherries
  • Cake Decorating Sugar (Fine or Coarse- any kind will work. Have fun with color or sprinkles!)

How to make:

  1. Make a simple syrup by placing equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over medium low until sugar dissolved.  Make sure to stir as it heats.  ( I used 1/3 cup of each)
  2. Let cool slightly
  3. dip marshino cherries in simple syrup.  Let excess drip off
  4. dip syrup covered cherries in sugar
  5. place on wax paper to dry (you can double dip after they dry slightly to get better coverage!)

Use them on top of your favorite drink or dessert- Or just set a bowl out to eat!
